Many reviewers highlighted how it was more affordable than using their central heating.
One shopper commented: “Like many others, I'm scared to use my gas central heating just now as it's so extortionately expensive, but my medical conditions are aggravated by being cold, so I decided to give this heater a try. Initially, I wasn't sure whether it would be enough to properly heat my large living room - 28 feet by 14 feet - but I needn't have worried.
“At full power, it doesn't take long to heat the room, and then I reduce the heat via the thermostat and power level to maintain my chosen temperature without any problem. OK, you'll have a bit of trial and error to find your ideal temp as the thermostat has no markings, but that's easily accomplished. I haven't tried the timer yet as I've had no need to, but it seems easy enough to do.
“Like any radiator, it holds residual heat after switching off, as well. As I have a smart meter, it was easy to compare costs between this radiator and my gas central heating: at full power, this heater costs just under £2 per hour, and my central heating, set for 19 degrees (active in only one room) costs £2.80. At the lower power setting to maintain temperature, the heater averages 90 pence per hour, at approximately 18 to 19 degrees.
A second person said: “Very quickly heated up the room. I have a thermostat and the room temperature went up by 1 degrees in 40 minutes ! If it can heat my room so quickly it'll heat any room. Highly recommended!”
A third commenter added: “This is a great value piece of kit. Heating up fast and retaining heat for a surprisingly long time. Able to heat a large area as well. Very happy.”
A fourth reviewer shared: “Great item. Heats up quick, no nasty smell on first switch on. Easy to set up and move around. Has all the safety features. What's not to like?”
