Advent calendars have always been a staple at Christmastime, but in recent years, there’s been a huge jump towards beauty advent calendars.
They can range in all different prices, brands, sizes and themes, but each year we look forward to seeing which is the best value for the holidays.
The reigning retailer this year seems to be Cult Beauty, with people salivating over the products on offer.

There are 39 products included, ranging from full sizes to deluxe sizes to travel sizes. It’s said to be worth €1,100 in total, but is on sale for €240 currently.
Now, it should be recognised that this is an high-end product, and comes with a significant price tag. For many this won’t be an easy decision to make when purchasing it.
I would also like to start off by saying that *technically* I didn’t buy it. It was gifted to me for Christmas by my very generous mother.
Before you go spending your hard-earned money on yourself or other people for the holidays, let’s break down whether it’s actually worth it.
I am a huge nerd when it comes to makeup and skincare, so for me, this is a great way to sample a wide variety of products that I wouldn’t normally buy.
Ones that particularly stand out are the Augustinus Bader travel size The Rich Cream, the Saie full size Glowy Super Gel in 'Starglow, the Summer Fridays full size CC Me Serum, the Sunday Riley full size Good Genes Glycolic Acid Treatment, the Glow Recipe travel size Plum Plump Hyaluronic Cream, the Supergoop! travel size Unseen Sunscreen SPF 30 and Natasha Denona’s travel size Bronze & Glow.
But, if I’m being honest, there are a tonne more too.
I constantly change up my skincare routine as well, so I know I’ll make the most of these products.
I also love travelling and don’t want to cart around larger bottles, so the travel sizes will also come in super handy.
I used to be less interested in haircare products, but have been trying out new things this year. I find this area really overwhelming, so having a selection of popular hair products is quite exciting when it comes to finding out what I love.
For me, this is definitely worth the hefty price tag. I was actually going to buy it myself, but it was given to me as a gift instead.
It comes down to if people will actually use all the products, or find some use for them. If you don't think that's you, there are plenty of other options out there.
There are also a bunch of sales on Cult Beauty and discounts available for an even lower price, if that helps people in making their decision. The calendar was even originally on sale for €265, so it’s been discounted by €25 already.
