Brooke Scullion never suffered a comedown after Dancing with the Stars because she has been kept so busy since.

The singer reached the final of the much loved RTE show with Robert Rowinski earlier this year.

Many of the stars who have competed on the dancefloor have spoken about how much they miss the show when it all suddenly ends.

But Derry native Brooke feels grateful that she didn't notice the absence of rehearsals because of how busy her work schedule has been.

She told RSVP Live: "Life has genuinely been crazy. My tour started two days after the final and it was almost like I didn’t have time to think.

"Everyone else said the comedown was horrendous but I didn’t have one, which in a way was incredible.

"I was straight in to singing mode. I hadn’t sang in the five months I was doing the show."

Brooke's stardom has been on the rise ever since she competed on The Voice UK back in 2020.

She was propelled into further fame when she represented Ireland at last year's Eurovision.

But she credits Dancing with the Stars for boosting not only her platform but her confidence as well.

"I had such a good time, the songs were received so well and everyone was screaming the words back to me which was mind blowing," Brooke said.

"Dancing with the Stars gave me a confidence I never had before. It really showed me that I was able to approach and overcome things, I never had that before.

"It really matured me, and changed the way I approach work."

Brooke is still good pals with partner Robert and says they will remain close friends in the future.

"I am obsessed with Robert," she said.

"We went on a night out to catch up recently for the first time since the show had ended.

"Unless you go through Dancing with the Stars yourself, you have no idea what the experience is like."

Brooke's new single Being Alone is out just in time for the summer and the singer says it has already gone down a treat with fans.

"I was in Sydney and went to a studio with a producer and wrote two songs in two days," she told us.

"I wrote the second one on the Tuesday and performed it on the Friday at a show in Sydney.

"It was received so well, everyone said they loved it so I thought that it had to be my next single."

While Brooke stays booked and busy, she shows no signs of slowing down and plans to keep working hard to build on her success.

She said: "I haven’t been able to breathe this year, but in the best way possible.

"I have had the most blessed year and I’m so grateful.

"I’m not complaining one bit and I work hard every day to keep this lifestyle a reality."
