Thankfully, we have found a product might be the answer to all of your air fryer-cleaning problems. TikTok user @smartler has shared his hack that allows him to skip cleaning his air fryer after every use.
He has posted a series of videos to the platform, showing that he uses a bowl-shaped silicone liner to cook his food.
Dubbed ‘genius’ by viewers, the liner is available on Amazon.
"It isn't just an air fryer mat; it is a reusable grease proof mat," Smartler wrote in one of his videos.
Usually, an air fryer is cleaned by removing the basket and drawer once they have cooled and scrubbing them in warm, soapy water. This can often be a tedious job due to the drawer being quite large as well as food particles often being a struggle to remove.
It is much easier to simply remove and wash this reusable liner, leaving the basket and drawer unscathed by grease and sauce.
One video of Smartler demonstrating how he uses the silicone protector to cook chicken received almost four million likes.
The comments were flooded with stunned users saying thar they “need to try this product.”
One user commented on the usefulness of this product, given their previous struggles with cleaning the drawer. “The last time I went to clean my air fryer I dropped it on my carpet full of hot grease. This is a life changer."
“I need this product”, another user commented, with many asking where they can purchase it.
