Ryan Prescott is the third actor to play the role of Ryan Connor on Coronation Street.
He took over the part in 2018, with Ben Thompson originating the character in 2006, before departing in 2010. Two years later, Sol Heras portrayed Ryan for a year.
Not much is known about the soap star’s real life away from the show.

How old is Ryan and where is he from?
Ryan was born on 21 January 1989, making him 34 years old. He is originally from Southport in Merseyside, England.
The actor doesn’t speak about his family often, but he shares the rare snap of them on social media.
On 17 August 2019, he posted a picture with his parents on the set of Coronation Street.
He captioned it: “Nice day for a stroll with Mum and Dad on the cobbles...ahh we have fun. Miss you guys x (Back when it was still summer)...we seem to be getting a shorter window each year”.
Ryan is also a proud uncle to his nieces and nephews and welcomed a new family member during the summer of 2021.
He shared an adorable photo with his baby niece, writing: “Just hanging out today. So proud of my sister having her second, the most beautiful baby girl in the world”.

What else has Ryan starred in?
Ryan’s first television credit was in Marchlands playing a character called Mark Ashburn in 2011.
That same year, he made an appearance on Holby City as Gavin Ruskin and starred on Emmerdale for 12 episodes. He portrayed Flynn Buchanan, who met Aaron Livesy in a gay nightclub after his break-up from his ex-boyfriend Jackson Walsh. He played the character for 12 episodes.
Ryan has made brief appearances in The Syndicate, Vampire Academy and Casualty.
He also had a recurring role on the BBC’s Doctors as Liam Slade, with appearances in 2013 and 2018.
Where does Ryan live?
While originally from Merseyside, Ryan is based in Manchester, near where Coronation Street is filmed in Salford.
During lockdown, Ryan enjoyed painting nature pictures outside on his outdoor garden seating area.
He took inspiration from his luscious garden with blooming flowers and healthy-looking plants.
When the evenings turn more chilly, he has an outdoor fire pit where he likes to sit beside with a beer.
Ryan has posted pictures of his kitchen as well, which features black cupboards with black and stainless steel appliances, including his oven and coffee pot.
With light grey walls, he tied the colours into his black and white backsplash and neutral tiles.
