Dan charged by police
Despite Amelia’s warnings to not make his situation worse, Dan arrives at the hospital to check on Lloyd, but he bumps into his wife Julie. The police later bring him in for further questioning, which leaves him realising he made a mistake with the visit.
DS Giles shares that after they inspected Lloyd’s devices, they found nothing to indicate that he has broken any laws, this results in Dan being charged with grievous bodily harm.
Devastated and worried about the development, he turns to a bottle of whiskey and ends up in the local woodland to be found by David. Fearful about what will happen, Dan explains that he doesn’t know if he will be able to look after Amelia and Esther if that one split decision ruins his future.
When David eventually is able to bring him back to Dale Head, a drunken Dan blames his new charge on Amelia’s social media activity. Vinny, Cain and Paddy try to reassure Dan that everyone is supporting him, but he feels even worse when Julie arrives at the Woolpack.
Clemmie runs away from Home Farm
At her hospital appointment, Dawn is surprised to learn that she is actually 16 weeks pregnant, and now wants to give Clemmie an extra special birthday before she finds out about her new sibling.
On the big day, Clemmie opens her gifts, but she appears to be sombre when Dawn and Billy watch her. She soon admits why she is feeling so down, and it’s because no matter what she wishes for on her birthday, it won’t bring her mother back.
Things take a dramatic turn when Nicky unexpectedly shows up with a birthday card for Clemmie. However, it isn’t a welcome visit as Gabby throws him out.
During the commotion Gabby accidentally reveals Dawn’s pregnancy to Clemmie and Lucas. This reinforced Clemmie’s idea that she isn’t a part of the family and will be forced out when the new baby arrives. She ends up accidentally pushing a dining stool into Dawn’s stomach, which leaves the expecting mother rushing to the hospital to get checked out at A&E.
Feeling guilty, Clemmie panics and decides she needs to leave Home Farm and runs out into the night.
