Emmerdale star Rosie Bentham has confirmed she is taking a break from the ITV soap.
Rosie plays Gabby on the Dales and a recent storyline saw the character discover her fiancé was gay and using her to get into Home Farm.
Gabby has been struggling ever since and last week attempted to kiss Dawn's husband Billy, leaving him shocked.

In upcoming scenes, Gabby will decide to go to Portugal to get away from the "chaos" in her home village.
"It was a moment of madness that she comes to regret. She’s seeking validation from any man," Rosie explained.
"She’s completely lost; I just picture Gabby waking up in the morning and feeling like her life is chaos.
"Obviously, there’s the anniversary of Liv Dingle’s death on the horizon, and that’s difficult for Gabby, as Liv was her best mate."
Rosie went on to confirm that Gabby would be leaving Emmerdale for a short while, but it won't be a permanent exit because the actress is hopeful things will have calmed down for her character upon her return.
Speaking about Gabby's future, Rosie told Inside Soap magazine: "She needs to reset. Heartbreak can be long and tedious but she knows that she needs to get it all out.
"The tears need to come. Hopefully she’ll come back with a different head on with regards to the Nicky situation.
"Gabby has a lot on her plate and the next few months are chaotic."
Some fans are convinced Gabby could use her pass at Billy to get at Dawn and don't believe she can be trusted.
"He ought to tell Dawn the truth...before Gabby turns it around one day and claims he hit on her. She can't be trusted," one viewer wrote on Twitter.
"Of course she was going to make a move, he rejected her so she’s going to be typical Gabby and tell dawn he made a move on her just to cause a bit of trouble," a second added.
Gabby will head to Portugal to be with her grandmother Diane Sugden. It still remains to be seen how long away she will stay for, but it's clear drama awaits her when she comes back.
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on Virgin Media One and ITV 1, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
