This is the first look at Paul Foreman and Billy Mayhew's wedding in Coronation Street.

The much loved soap revealed that it would air its first gay wedding in it's 60-year history back in 2021.

Two years later, fans will finally get to see Paul and Billy tie the knot - but under some unfortunate circumstances.

It's a time of mixed emotions for the couple. Despite the happy news they are getting married, earlier this year Paul learned the devastating news that he had been diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease.

He initially kept the news from his loved ones but the secret came out on his sister Gemma Winter's wedding day.

It's been a tough time for Paul but next week will be a happy occasion as he finally marries Billy at the Bistro.

At the beginning of the week, Gemma and Bernie help Paul get ready for the big day and emotionally walk him down the aisle where Billy waits for him.

The pair exchange vows and the registrar officially pronounces them married much to the joy of their friends, family and loved ones.

But after the ceremony, Billy is stunned to discover his new husband has been keeping a huge secret from him.

It's not yet known what Billy learns, but it is clear it will have a big impact on him.

Later on in the week, Paul, Billy and his goddaughter Summer Spellman check out the new wheelchair that has arrived to help Paul's mobility.

However, they are disappointed when they realise it won't fit through the doorway to their flat.

As Ed Bailey calls round the measure up the door, a parishioner called Babs walks up to Billy with a bottle of Fizz to congratulate him on his marriage.

Billy is grateful for the gesture but his mood suddenly changes when another parishioner called Vaughn tells him that he should be ashamed of himself.

Billy loses his temper and tells Vaughn that he shouldn't worry as his husband is dying - unaware that Paul has overheard the conflict.
