Met Eireann have shared their forecast for the days ahead as temperatures are set to plummet.
It has already been a chilly week so far but a low temperature and ice warning will come into effect at 6pm for 23 counties.
Met Eireann warn: "Very cold with temperatures expected to fall below -3 degrees in many areas. Frost and ice developing will cause hazardous travelling conditions."

The warning will expire at 12pm on Friday.
The national forecaster has told people that snow could hit areas in the east today, and also said to be aware that "wintry precipitation" could be on the way across the country in the coming days.
Here's everything you need to know about Met Eireann's forecast for the rest of the week.
Today (Thursday 30th November)
Some frost and icy patches this morning with a light dusting of snow locally across the northeast. Scattered wintry showers will mainly affect eastern counties, with many other areas staying dry with sunny spells and just stray wintry showers. While most of the wintry showers will present as a mix of rain and hail, there is the chance of sleet and snow, especially over higher ground in the East.
Tonight will be very cold with a widespread sharp to severe frost and icy stretches. Dry and clear across most areas. However, some scattered wintry showers will move into west Connacht and west Ulster, as well as along parts of the East Coast. Lowest temperatures of 0 to minus 5 degrees.
Friday the 1st of December
On Friday morning, frost, ice, and any mist or fog will gradually clear with a dusting of snow locally, mainly in the Northwest. The first day of the meteorological winter will be very cold with well scattered wintry showers. Overall dry though with sunny spells. Highest temperatures of 2 to 6 degrees. While most areas will be dry and calm overnight, some showers of sleet and snow will occur, mainly across the northwest. Very cold with lowest temperatures of 0 to - 4 degrees.
Saturday the 2nd of December
Another cold day with frost, ice and a light dusting of snow locally to begin. Most areas will be dry for daylight hours, with any wintry showers mainly along north and west coasts. Highest temperatures of just 2 to 6 degrees in light west to southwest breezes. During Saturday evening and night, some scattered outbreaks of rain and drizzle will move in off the Atlantic, possibly turning wintry in places. Lowest temperatures of -3 to +2 degrees.
Sunday the 3rd
Latest indications suggest wet and breezy weather will move up across the country from the southwest, with the chance of some wintry falls after-dark. Highest temperatures of 3 to 8 degrees, in rather brisk easterly winds.
