Irish tourists travelling to Spain are being urged to prepare for extreme heat in popular destinations.
Areas in the south of the country such as Seville and Cordoba have been hit with sky high temperatures of 44C amid a heatwave.
Madrid has also been hit with soaring temperatures recently.

Holidaymakers travelling from Ireland are being warned to take care in the heat in the Iberian peninsula.
Spanish national weather agency AEMET has placed many areas in southern Spain under a weather warning.
The forecaster has issued multiple high-temperature warnings for areas including Madrid, as temperatures could reach up to 39C.
Maximum temperatures over the coming days could reach between 40C and 42C, but from later on in the week things are expected to begin to cool down.
Meanwhile, other popular tourist destinations such as Barcelona and Girona have been placed under storm and rain warnings.
Spain has already been hit with high temperatures this year, as conditions back in March and April were considered to be "unseasonal".
However June heatwaves are becoming more common across the globe in recent years.
Even in Ireland, temperatures climbed to as high as 29C earlier this month.
