Kerry Katona has opened up about her past relationships, and has explained why she thinks it's hard for fans to 'let go' of her 'iconic' relationship with Brian McFadden.
Speaking to the Mirror, Kerry described her exes as “a bunch of p****s”. She says fans never got over her split from Brian, explaining: “I’m not saying I’m Jennifer Aniston and he’s Brad Pitt, but when you’re an iconic couple, people find it hard to let that go.”
The former Atomic Kitten added that her relationship with Mark Croft was “the lowest”, but she’d pick him over third husband, George Kay, “any day”.
Brian and Kerry filed for divorce in 2004, claiming Brian's infidelity was at the core of their problems.
“The day my marriage ended was on the stag night (when he cheated on Katona with a lap dancer). That was the time I felt ‘this is not supposed to be’," said Brian in an interview with Reveal Magazine.
The divorce was finalised in 2006.
The star recently appeared on the Ray D'Arcy Show where she opened up about taking responsibility for her past mistakes, as well as speaking about her marriage to ex Brian McFadden.
She said: " Brian was my first love, the first time I got married, the first time I had a baby, he was my knight in shining armour.
“I was living in Warrington doing loads of drugs and getting off my head. He came and rescued me, brought me over to Ireland and left me.”
The 38-year-old continued by saying she feels Brian’s former partners, singer Delta Goodrem and TV personality Vogue Williams , may not have liked her before praising his current girlfriend Danielle Richardson.
“I don’t think they liked me, even though I never meet them. The girlfriend he’s with now, she’s the best girlfriend he’s ever had bar me.
“She’s accepted me and my children, it’s nice to be in the same room together for the kids as well."
The TV personality also said she is fully focused on self-growth this year, telling Ray: "I really started to focus on me, I’m 40 next year.
"For such a long time, other people’s opinions were everything to me because i was so desperate to be loved, I wanted to be loved, I felt so worthless."
