Late Late Show viewers moved by 'poignant' Shane MacGowan tribute

Following his tragic passing yesterday, the Late Late Show paid a wonderful tribute to the legendary musician with a rendition of A Rainy Night in Soho - viewers were moved

Viewers were impressed tonight as the Late Late Show opened with a tribute to the late Shane MacGowan.

The musical legend sadly passed away yesterday and the programme began with a rendition of A Rainy Night in Soho.

It went on to show a collection of moments from his extraordinary life.

"Very poignant opening to dedicate to Shane MacGowan. Glen Hansard has a nice solid voice," wrote one viewer.
