"Is brown making a comeback??" questioned another viewer.
Another wrote: "I really love Take That, but I can't get over how much Gary looks like my mam took him to the denim bar in Guineys in 1994 for a special outfit."
"Have Take That raided their Dad’s wardrobes?" another asked.
Their visit saw them take part in a hilarious game of Take That or Fake That, in which Patrick read out the apparent lengths that some of the superfans in the audience had gone to to prove their loyalty to the band.
They also read out to the studio the reasons that people had put on their applications to be in the audience with Take That tonight, including a man named Paul who said he was mistaken for Gary in a karaoke bar, and two women who were chosen as Take That's biggest fans in the 90s.
Earlier in the show was a tribute to the late Shane MacGowan, and Gary also took a moment to share what he thought made Shane's songwriting so special.
"I think always with songwriters, the one thing that is so important is authenticity," he said. "And I think everyone would agree, in the world, who knows anything about music, that's all it was, his songs. Complete authenticity, from the start to the end."
