Met Eireann has predicted that sleet or snow could be on the way tonight as temperatures continue to drop.
Much of Ireland has seen morning frosts in recent days as nighttime temperatures dip below freezing, as low as -4.
Met Eireann has released two weather warnings in the past few hours for ice.

The first weather warning is in place until noon today. it reads: "Very cold with temperatures expected to fall below -3 degrees in many areas. Frost and ice developing will cause hazardous travelling conditions."
The second warning is due to come into effect at 5pm this evening.
It says: "Very cold with widespread frost and icy conditions. Fog and freezing fog too.
Possible Impacts:
• Hazardous conditions on roads and paths
• Travel disruption"
The second warning is in place overnight until noon on Saturday.
As for the possibility of snow, Met Eireann has said that some areas may see it overnight tonight.
In the Friday night forecast, they said that we can expect a mostly cold and dry night.
"Mostly dry overnight with isolated showers, possibly of sleet or snow, mainly across the northwest.
Very cold with lowest temperatures of 0 to - 4 degrees with a widespread sharp frost and icy patches. Mist and fog in parts too."
