All parents can agree that seeing their baby in pain over their teeth is an uncomfortable sight.
Sore teeth means bright red cheeks, excessive drooling, disturbed sleep and overall bad moods. It's unsettling and unpleasant for the baby which in turn can upset the rest of the family too.
There are plenty of teething products out there to help with the discomfort a baby feels when cutting a tooth, some of which can cost you a pretty penny.
However, the solution to the problem doesn't have to be expensive. One mum has shared a genius hack to make homemade teethers that will only cost you €1.50 in Tesco .
Sharing the clever tip on The Parent Pack Facebook group, the mum shared a photo of her squeezing Ella's Kitchen puree on to greaseproof paper on a baking tray.
The photo showed that the mum made a variety of shapes including rings and stars.
"Squeeze yummy baby pouches onto greaseproof paper on a tray and pop in the freezer for fun, frozen, yummy teethers," she wrote.
"So soothing on baby gums".
What a brilliant idea - not only practical but cost-effective too.
According to Manchester Evening News, one pouch of Ella's Kitchen puree can make up to 25 different teethers for your baby.
Parents were all too happy to praise the hack, with one writing: "Brilliant idea, great for the little one when he wants one of our ice lollies".
Another added: "Such a good idea, even for a snack on warm days ."
Sounds like it's worth a try to us!
