There's nothing we Irish love more than a bag of chips and a battered cod on a sunny day or after a long night on the tiles.
To celebrate National Fish and Chips Day this Wednesday May 22, we've scoured the country to find the best chippers.
Check out our top ten choices to see if your favourite made the list.

5) McGuinness' Traditional Takeaway, Dublin City

6) The Origial Borza, Walkinstown, Dublin
This popular takeaway in Walkinstown is favoured by locals for it's great tasting food, and people even travel from all over the capital to get their chipper fix in this particular establishment. And it doesn't have to end with salt and vinegar either - the taco chips and garlic cheese chips are a big hit with customers.
7) Friars Rest, Letterkenney Co. Donegal
This food establishment scooped up a prize at last year's Just Eat Takeaway Awards, so you already know ordering chips from here is going to be a wonderful experience. Also, it feels pretty impressive to say you've eaten in an award-winning chipper.
8) McDonagh's, Quay St, Co. Galway
No trip to Galway is complete without a trip to McDonagh's, according to locals and visitors. Order a pint of Guinness and a sumptuous meat pie alongside their spectacular chips to give your taste buds a real treat.
9) Blue Door Takeaway, John Street Co. Kilkenny
Not only does this tasty takeaway give you gorgeous tasting chips in brown paper bag, but it also sells one of our other favourite delicacies - it is of course, the humble spicebag. If you haven't already tried it, get the best of both worlds in this popular Kilkenny chipper.
10) Donkey Fords, John's St. Co. Limerick
This popular chipper has been open for more than a whopping 70 years, so it's fair to say that they know how to cook a good batch of chips by now! Apparently the paper they're wrapped in makes them all the more tasty, so if you have yet to try these delectable chips, pop in for a visit ASAP.

The Roma Cafe in Mullingar is probably the most star studded chipper in the country, as it is a big hit with singers Bressie and Niall Horan.
