As we gear up to cheer on our girls in green we’re searching for your local club heroes and the people who are championing women's sport.

Sports clubs not only create heroes but they connect communities and help develop characters.

They say it takes a village to raise a child, but it takes commitment and selflessness to create sporting success.

Behind every success story you’ll find dedicated men and women who quietly make it all happen. We want to celebrate the unsung sporting heroes from all disciplines of girls and women’s sport from soccer, to camogie, rugby to pony clubs.

Clubs and teams across the country couldn’t exist without the array of support they get from people in their communities, there are so many individuals going to extraordinary lengths to drive these teams forward and encourage more female players to join and get involved in local sport.

From the people washing kits, organising games, fundraising and maintaining local pitches and clubs to those coaching and training our girls into the next Katie McCabe or Katie Taylor, so many teams have their own club legend and we want to find them!

If someone you know is doing great things off the pitch for women’s sport we’d love to hear from you, simply nominate them using the form below. Nominations must be submitted by 9am on 25th July.

Our RSVP judging panel will select the top nominations and then we'll pass it over to you, our readers to cast your vote. The public vote will open on 1 August and remain open for 2 weeks. The nominee with the most votes will be named RSVP's Local Club Hero and will receive an amazing prize.
