See inside Donal Skehan's stunning kitchen restoration as he renovates family home
The popular chef and food content creator has found the kitchen of his dreams to work from in his beautiful new family home in Howth - check out the pictures for yourself
TV chef Donal Skehan has shared plans for his kitchen restoration as he renovates his new family home in Howth.
The food writer recently moved into the cottage with wife Sofie and their sons Noah and Oliver after renting five homes over the course of three years.
He has now shared a glimpse into his "interim kitchen", which given his job was very important for Donal to get right.
The RTE star has designed his dream kitchen for cooking, dining, filming and creating recipes with the help of interior design company Neptune.
"I was very clear that I didn't want to put in a new kitchen only to rip it out again when we did the extension," Donal said.
"I was sold the minute the Neptune design team told me that the cabinets are individual pieces of furniture and could be repurposed at a later date."

Donal and Sofie chose Neptune's Suffolk kitchen, which includes laid out spice drawers, concealed bins, backlit cupboards and a pantry cabinet with adjustable shelves, all of which follow a warm, neutral colour scheme.
Donal has also kept a farmhouse table, which he purchased 15 years ago, to match the kitchen's decor.
"Seeing the kitchen table I bought so long ago make it into our final home and fit so well is really pleasing," he added.
"All the functional details in the kitchen have made life easier, and you don’t get to experience that until you are in the space and using it.
"As a new homeowner, going into these projects with builders and decorators can be daunting, but we had an exceptional experience with the Neptune team.
"Everything we wanted was discussed and translated into what we see now and have planned."
