Iconic musician Shane MacGowan currently remains in hospital after being admitted back in June.
The Pogues front man is currently dealing a serious blood infection. He has been in an out of hospital after being treated for viral encephalitis last December.
However, his wife Victoria Mary Clarke and the hospital staff are “working hard” to make sure that he will be home in time for Christmas.

Victoria Mary Clarke said: “The timeline keeps changing. It depends on him being able to get his strength up.”
She told the Sunday Independent : It’s very difficult if somebody is immobile for any length of time, as Shane was before he went into hospital.
"It means you are prone to things like pneumonia and bed sores, which lower immunity and make you weaker."
The 65-year-old singer has lost a lot of weight and he has a big recovery still ahead of him after nearly four months in care.
Victoria said: “Shane has other complications which make it difficult for him to do the exercises he needs to do.
“He is also not a great eater, so it’s quite hard for him to get the required calories and protein he needs to build himself up. He does tend to lose a lot of weight —and he didn’t exactly have a lot to lose to begin with.”
Like everyone else in life, Shane fears death and what might be ahead of him.
Victoria said: “Of course he’s afraid, and he’s good at talking about it — but he’s always good at being Zen about it.
She added: “That’s the thing we all discover — that we are actually all afraid of the same things. We are afraid to lose each other, and we are afraid to lose our lives because we don’t know what is next.”
