Relationship with Victoria Clarke
MacGowan and his long term girlfriend were together for 32 years before the officially got married in a Denmark wedding in winter 2018.
Wedding
Shane and Victoria, aged 53, tied the knot in a stunning wedding in Copenhagen on 26 November 2018.
The couple officially got married in the registry office at the Town Hall before moving on to an evening reception in a restaurant in the Tivoli Gardens.
Hollywood star Johnny Depp was one of the famous faces in attendance on the big day.
Following the wedding, Victoria told EVOKE: "We partied until the evening and it was really nice because the Tivoli Gardens is the oldest funfair in Europe and it’s got lots of old rollercoasters and big wheels but they’re nice, they’re not too scary or ridiculous. So you can go on them without screaming.’
"Shane just hung out in the [restaurant] which was gorgeous. They had that glogg, that mulled wine and we were drinking that and it was snowy looking and really beautiful,’ she smiles."

Teeth
Shane MacGowan became synonymous for his notoriously bad teeth.
As a result of drinking, drugs and poor oral health, all of his teeth fell out by 2008.
He has since gotten full mouth restorative surgery to fix his gums.
Shane MacGowan has admitted he "dreaded" getting his teeth fixed, despite the fact years of neglect had left him with barely any.
Speaking in a Sky Arts documentary about the huge restorative mouth operation, he admitted: "I am dreading it, but it's got to be done."
The 62-year-old continued: "When I was very small I had teeth taken out by a string round the tooth and then put on the door handle there.
"They wouldn't tell you what they were going to do, they would just bang the door and out came the tooth.
Fairytale of New York
Shane MacGowan credited the late Kirsty MacColl for the success of Fairytale of New York.
He told the The Mirror: "I was very grateful to Kirsty MacColl - I don't think it would have been such a big hit without her contribution." "I can't really get excited about it anymore and for a while it used to depress me to sing it after Kirsty died."
He added: "But now I think of it as a tribute to her."
Death of his mother
Shane MacGowan's mother was killed in a single vehicle collision when the car she was driving struck a wall in Co Tipperary back in January 2017.
Therese, who was in her 80's, and her husband lived in the village of Silvermines, Co Tipperary.
The couple met in Dublin and moved to England where Shane was born in Kent in 1957 and they returned home to Tipperary where Shane spent much of his childhood growing up.
His wife Victoria Mary Clarke who is aged 53
She told RSVP Magazine: "Happiness is two things, really! There is a type of happiness that comes from really enjoying something because it is good fun. There is also a form of happiness that comes from an inner security or peace that lets you know that the bad things in life don’t really matter."
What makes her unhappy? "The weather, when it is a dark grey, gloomy and miserable day, I think that the mood is already set. I find that I have to work harder to get my mood to become sunny and light. If I am in a place that is always bright and cheery, then the job is already half done."
Life coaching and angel channelling
Victoria told us: "I trained as a life coach and one thing that we learned was to make a thing called an “enabling wheel”. It is basically a wheel where you draw all of the things that make you happy and you have little segments like an orange. The segments could be going for a walk on the beach, watching a funny movie, talking to your kids or doing something nice for somebody else. You think of as many as you can and you put them all on your wheel, and any time you are not feeling happy, you can just look at it and decide, 'Which one of these can I do now?'
She continued: "I think for me it certainly has, but it doesn’t necessarily make everybody happy because it depends on who you are speaking to and what they say to you.
"A spirit may not always be happy and they can make you feel worse, so you have got to be careful. You have to be very discerning and go about it in the right way but, most importantly, you have to pay attention to the result that you are getting."
