Lea Heart burst onto the music scene during lockdown and thanks to building up an impressive following on TikTok, she is now one of Ireland’s most exciting singer/songwriters.

While we know how much music means to Lea, this month she tells RSVP about the other things in life that make her happy - the comfort TV show she watches all of the time, the one food she cannot live without and the proudest achievement in her career so far

TV Show

I rewatch Gossip Girl all of the time. I’m a big fan of reality TV too, like Love Island. I also watched Ed Sheeran’s series on Disney Plus and loved it.

Singer

Coldplay and Taylor Swift are my two favourite acts. How they tell their stories within their songs is something that I feel really inspired by.

Podcast

I really like Diary of a CEO and Growing and Glowing. They are both about positive energy, manifestation and they set me up for the day.

Beauty product

I will use anything from Sculpted by Aimee, it makes my skin look flawless.

Fashion accessory

I have a big oversized bomber jacket that I love. It’s so easy to throw on over any outfit, and you’ll most likely find me wearing it in the studio.

Food heaven

I’m a pasta girl, I eat it way too much, more than I like to admit! Pasta all day, every day.

Memory

Playing my first ever headline show in The Academy. I released a song called Perfect Opposites three days beforehand. I’ll never forget as soon as I started singing it pretty much everyone in the audience knew the lyrics. That was an eye-opening experience and I was very emotional at that moment.

Piece of advice

Be your authentic self. It’s easy to get caught up in this industry but when I go back to my song-writing and my roots is where I’m at my happiest. My management always reminds me to be myself and not try to be anybody else. Especially with social media.

Inspiration

In my day-to-day life, me and my mum are best friends and she is definitely there for me no matter what. In songwriting, I would say Julia Michaels or Dan Lygro. I will soak in like a sponge anything they have to say to help me better my songwriting.
