Annabel Croft, the former tennis player and TV presenter, has found solace and purpose in competing on the popular dance show, Strictly Come Dancing, following the devastating loss of her husband, Mel Coleman, to stomach cancer earlier this year.
In a heartfelt appearance on Good Morning Britain (November 4th), Annabel shared how participating in the show had become a crucial lifeline during what she described as an "incredibly dark" period in her life.
Paired with the talented South African professional dancer, Johannes Radebe, her journey on the BBC's annual dance competition has been nothing short of inspiring.

She initially joined the show in search of "finding some joy" amidst the profound grief of losing her beloved husband.
Their recent performance featured a Couple’s Choice routine set to "Wings" by Birdy, a dance that resonated deeply with both the audience and the judges.
The judges' comments mirrored the sentiments felt by viewers as they witnessed the emotionally charged performance.
Shirley, visibly moved, shared her thoughts: "I didn't know your husband, but I feel like I do. I thought that was graceful, it was charming, you stayed absolutely in the moment. I have no words, it was just lovely."
Anton echoed this sentiment, emphasising that sometimes, dancing transcends technique and becomes a powerful expression of emotion, calling their performance "perfect" in its authenticity and sincerity.
The audience, too, was touched by Croft and Radebe's performance, seating Amber, Lily, and Charlie, Annabel's children.
Social media platforms buzzed with messages of admiration and support for the duo.
One viewer commented: "Oh, Annabel. And @jojo_radebe I know nothing about dance technique, but I know that was beautiful and heartfelt."
Another viewer shared a personal connection, revealing:"Watching my mum connect with @Annabel_Croft whilst watching #StrictlyComeDancing has been a beautiful and emotional thing. Tonight was an absolute privilege to watch. Thank you, Annabel."
The overwhelming response from fans highlighted the universal appeal of Croft and Radebe's performance with another person adding: "Annabel and Johannes that was absolutely beautiful, I felt every bit of the emotion in that dance. I’m in bits"
