Like many people, I find myself scrolling on Amazon every now and then.
While there are always hits and misses, there are five products that really stood out to me this year as I found them incredibly useful.
If you’re looking for some Christmas gifts or want to treat yourself to something affordable, here are my recommendations for under €12.

Revlon UniqONE Professional Leave In Conditioner - €8.18
If you’ve ever wondered what your hairdresser uses that leaves your hair smelling amazing - apparently it’s this.
Now, I can’t guarantee that it is, but when I first used this, it smelled like whatever product my hairdresser uses.
The back of the bottle makes 10 claims, they are: “Repairs dry & damaged hair, strengthens & reduces breakage, conditions & detangles, controls frizz, instantly moisturises, heat protection, boosts shine & protects colour, softness & manageability, helps to prevent split ends and refreshes hairstyle”.
I will have to use it more to see if it does everything, but I will say that my hair is less frizzy after using it, it’s not as tangled, it looks really shiny and it feels less dry.
You can try it yourself with it available on Amazon here.
Long USB Type C Fast Charging Cable - €10.58
I don’t know if you’re meant to do this, but I regularly have my phone charging. It’s probably not the best for its battery, but I have never noticed a difference. Honestly, my phone is always the last to die when I'm out and about.
However, this means I don’t want to be stuck beside plug sockets constantly. Instead, I use these 3m cables so I can move around with my phone.
This pack comes with three, which is a really good deal when compared to others. You can find it on Amazon here.
Travel Pouches for Toiletries - €5.64
I don’t know if I was oblivious to these pouches before, but I can’t get over how handy they are.
Normally, I would get those travel bottles from Penneys before going on holidays, but they were so clunky and never came with enough. My skincare would always get stuck at the bottom of them as well, so I was wasting product.
I saw these pouches on TikTok and tried them earlier this year. They are 100% better than the bottles as they take up less space, come in three different sizes and you can squeeze all the product out of them.
You can get a pack of 20 on Amazon here.
Underseat Cabin Bag - €11.99
I’ve been incredibly stupid when travelling with Ryanair. I always brought a small handbag or tiny backpack as my personal item that goes under the seat.
After seeing countless videos and articles on these cabin bags that “hack” Ryanair’s baggage policy, I decided to give them a go.
I was honestly shocked to see how much fit in them. I could stuff nearly all the items from my cabin suitcase into it.
I’m an overpacker, so I still bring my cabin suitcase, but this is perfect for bringing back souvenirs, for delicate items like your makeup or for us tourists that can’t decide what not to bring on holidays with us.
You can find a really durable, but affordable one here on Amazon.
The INKEY List Retinol Serum - €11.45
I was looking for a retinol that wasn’t too powerful or strong, as I have sensitive skin and found myself reacting to others that I had tried.
This one is “derived from vitamin A, a 1% retinol acetate is combined with a 0.5% granactive retinoid”. I don't really know what any of that means, but I've found that it's really soothing on my skin and doesn't make it super oily either. I'm currently on my third bottle.
I originally purchased it on Amazon, but they recently sold out of it. However, it’s available on LookFantastic and can be found here.
