As an Irish person brought up in the midlands, there’s one thing I was taught - there’s nothing better than a good ole hot water bottle.
Feeling cold? Fill up a hot water bottle. In pain? Fill up a hot water bottle. Feeling tired? Fill up a hot water bottle.
However, now I don’t even need to leave my bed to get a toasty hot water bottle.

Last Christmas, I was given a chargeable hot water bottle, and it is possibly the best gift I have ever received.
All I need to do is plug it into a socket and in around 10 minutes, I have a perfectly warm hot water bottle.
It also lasts for hours, and doesn’t need to be recharged that often.
It’s incredibly soft and durable, and in the year I’ve had it, I haven’t experienced one problem using it.
A concern I always had using the traditional hot water bottle was that it would burn me if it got too hot, or that it might burst. But, with my chargeable version, that’s no longer a problem.
It’s so popular in my house now, that there are arguments over who gets to use it. Even pets get involved!
When I initially got it, I wasn’t sure it would be hot enough for me or stay warm as long as I would need it, but I was quickly proven wrong.
Now, I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is considering buying one. Not only are they way more convenient than regular hot water bottles, but they also save you having to heat your home as much as you would need to in Ireland during the autumn and winter months. The same can be said for normal hot water bottles too!
Whether you want one for yourself, or are planning on getting one as a Christmas present for someone - I would 100% recommend it.
