THE RECEPTION
The Radisson Blu Hotel in Sligo. We wanted to have our reception in Sligo as it was where we first met and a convenient half-way point for both our families. I got ready in the beautiful Castledale in Carraroe, once owned by Shane Filan, and started the champers early!
THE DRESS
I would have loved to have said ‘yes to the dress’ at home with my mum and sisters but I actually fell in love with a Cosmobella Demetrios dress at the Sposa Group Bridal Store in Sydney, where I live. Luckily the shop were kind enough to allow for a Facetime call home to get the approval!
FIRST DANCE
Starship – Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now. We love this song. We managed to fit in a few last minute dance lessons to get us ready for the big day and make sure we didn’t stand on each other’s toes. The lessons surprisingly turned out to be a lot of fun!
THE HIGHLIGHTS
There were so many, but the main one was getting to the top of the altar to join Ciaran. Oh, and the Tayto sandwiches in the Resident’s Bar…
